Pingtung Christian Hospital
Pingtung Christian Hospital was founded by a group of missionary medical professionals from the United States, Norway, and Finland. Inspired by the love of Christ, they dedicated twenty to thirty years of their lives to Taiwan, establishing a fine tradition of "going wherever there is a need." PTCH has transformed from a humble clinic into a regional teaching hospital with over 600 beds. Throughout its journey, the hospital has not only guarded the health of the people in southern Taiwan but has also written moving chapters in medical history, particularly in the development of surgery, orthopedics, infectious disease treatment in the 1950s, physical therapy, and assistant nurse education.
