Pingtung County Government
The Pingtung County Government is the highest-level local administrative organ of Pingtung County, Republic of China. Within the government structure of the ROC, it serves as the administrative agency for county autonomy and is responsible for executing matters commissioned by central government agencies. Originally, the supervisory body for Pingtung County's autonomy was the Taiwan Provincial Government. However, following the streamlining of the provincial government, its duties and functions were significantly reduced, and the supervisory authority shifted to the various ministries of the Executive Yuan (primarily the Ministry of the Interior). The Pingtung County Government also serves as the local autonomy supervisory body for the townships and cities under its jurisdiction.
