Wenming Rd. Intersection(stay 120 minutes)
Sishouzi Trading Post, established by the Sichongxi Hot Spring Leisure Agriculture Development Association, serves not only as a marketplace for local specialty products but also as a cozy stopover where travelers can enjoy simple yet authentic local meals. The name “Sishouzi” comes from the Taiwanese dialect term for “snacks.” In early Taiwan, molds used for making traditional pastries were often carved with images of four mythical beasts—tiger, leopard, lion, and elephant. These pastries were thus called Sishouzi, which gradually became a general term referring to all kinds of snacks over time.

Mudan Visitor Center(stay 50 minutes)
The Mudan Visitor Center was officially completed in August 2025, marking a new cultural landmark that offers travelers a window into the rich history and culture of the Hengchun Peninsula and its surroundings. Blending natural scenery with historical events, the center will further develop permanent and themed exhibitions in the future, highlighting significant moments in Taiwan’s modern history. Together with curated thematic tours, visitors will be able to explore the actual sites where these events took place and, through professional guided interpretation, relive the impactful chapters of history.

Shihmen Ancient Battlefield(stay 15 minutes)
The Shimen Ancient Battlefield lies on the border between Checheng Township and Mudan Township, where Mount Shimu (370 meters) and Wuchongxi Mountain (450 meters) form a narrow, strategically important pass. Walking along the rugged trail carved into the cliffs, exposed to mountain winds and scorching sun, one must tread with great caution. Upon reaching the summit, a monument inscribed with the words “Bring Clarity to the World, Restore Our Homeland” stands solemnly, honoring the heroic deeds of those who perished. Reading the inscriptions evokes the tragic and fierce battles fought here, stirring a deep sense of sorrow.
This very site was the battlefield where the indigenous peoples of Mudanshe and Gaoshifoshe resisted the Japanese invasion, an event remembered in Taiwan’s modern history as the Mudan Incident.

Sichongxi(stay 50 minutes)
Sichongxi Hot Spring, located in Wenquan Village of Checheng Township, was once ranked alongside Beitou, Yangmingshan, and Guanziling during the Japanese era as one of Taiwan’s four great hot springs. The spring is a colorless and tasteless alkaline carbonate spring, with water temperatures maintained year-round between 50°C and 60°C. Not only is it drinkable, but it is also believed to help relieve certain ailments. Surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, Sichongxi Hot Spring is a renowned destination in Taiwan for both relaxation and summer retreats.

Checheng Fuan Temple(stay 50 minutes)
Located in Checheng Township, Fuan Temple is considered the largest temple in Taiwan dedicated to the Earth God (Tudi Gong). It serves as the religious center of the Hengchun Peninsula, attracting a constant stream of worshippers throughout the year. Temples from across Taiwan come here to pay homage and offer incense to the God of Fortune and Land. The spacious plaza in front of the temple often hosts temple festivals and cultural performances, giving visitors not only the chance to worship but also to experience the folk traditions and cultural heritage of the Hengchun Peninsula.

Seaside gallery(stay 30 minutes)
Formerly an unused waiting hall at Haikou Port, the building has been renovated into the Seaside Gallery and Dai•Feng Tower. With its glass curtain walls reflecting the harbor scenery and a breezy rooftop corridor overlooking the sea, it offers stunning views of the mountains and coastline of the Pingtung Peninsula. It also serves as the preparation base for the Luoshanfeng Arts Festival, with a mission to promote cultural tourism and strengthen the regional identity of the Haikou area.
